STORY STARTER
Your character manages to travel to the end of a rainbow, but instead of a pot of gold, they find…
Not so lucky charm
Everyone talks about finding the end of a rainbow, but you never hear about what people actually do find at the end of one. Ever wonder why?
Today I found out why, and I can't escape it.
I was wandering the enchanted woods outside my cottage when I spotted a rainbow in the sky. It was mesmerizing and oh so beautiful! Like any other curious person, I decided to get as close to the rainbow as possible. If the stories were true, I wanted to find the end of the rainbow to get the gold. That was the mistake I made; I shouldn't have been so curious. It would have saved me the trauma of what I found.
As I got closer and closer to the rainbow, it seemed as though the enchanted woods were warning me. It got darker and darker in the woods, and it was like I started hearing whispers of spirits telling me to turn back and run. But I thought it was all in my head. So I kept getting closer until I finally found the end of the rainbow. I stopped dead in my tracks at what I saw. My breath stuck in my throat
Bones, Bones, are those bones?! I thought to myself, it can't be. Then I see a small figure approach me. "What do you think you're doing here?" The figure hisses
"I, I just wanted to see the end of the rainbow, that's all." I stutter
"Such a foolish girl!" he says. And then I see him. It's the Leprechaun.
not the cheerful happy one you think of. This leprechaun is creepy, dirty, and evil-looking.
"Where's the gold? Why are there bones here?" I utter.
These are the bones of my victims, the bones of every curious girl who wanted to see the gold at the end of the rainbow.
My face starts to heat, my blood pressure rising. I don't even think about it before I run for my life back towards my cottage, the leprechaun close behind me. I run and run, and before I know it, I'm at my cottage, no leprechaun in sight. I breathe a sigh of relief and open the door to my cottage
but then.
He's back, and this time he's sitting at my kitchen table...
"You shouldn't have run," he smirks a horrid smirk....
