“Next up, give it up for Sophia Miller!” The announcer in a black tuxedo said through the mic. Then, he passed a microphone to me.

As I got onto stage, I felt so hyped up and excited to hear the crowds cheering for me and the music playing in the background, but I guess god had other plans. Suddenly, I stepped on my dress by accident and then went tumbling face down on the stage, the microphone slipping out of my hands. Oh no.. I got up on my feet, legs shaking this time. I saw everyone staring at me from the crowd. Some were giggling, some were holding up their phones to record the scene, and then, I saw my nemesis, laughing at me. I wanted to cry so bad. I just made a fool of myself, and, infront of hundreds of people!

I stood on the stage, rooted to the ground, not moving a muscle. I tried to keep calm and picked up the microphone. “Uh, I’m sorry, but could you restart the song?” I whispered to the announcer. He tried to resist his laugh before repeating the song. IT WAS SO EMBARRASSING. As the song restarted, I looked at the crowded people from below the stage and felt a sense of nostalgia rush over me. I got so nervous that I had forgotten the lyrics to the song. OML. Then, I ran down the stage and out of that place, everyone laughing behind me as I ran. THAT WAS THE WORST NIGHTMARE I HAVE EVER EXPERIENCED.
