Write a short story where humans are the mythical beings.
Monsters and the “Humans”
There was a Mothman with his little son walking in the woods
Having a nice walk
Saying hello to everyone around the park
To those who walk on land or in water
They waved to the Bigfoot family going by
Bigfoot was shy but still waved
Yeti looked angry and aloof but still nodded his head
The Yowie smiled and tipped his Akubra to them while adjusting his oilskin jacket
The Skunk Ape was wearing some cool shades
Waved at them while holding a surfboard
And stinking up the whole forest
The big feet were fine with
The Boggy Creek Monster looked scary
With his veiny, red eyes staring at them
While eating a big kabob
Made out of pigs and dogs
The Hibagon looked very shy
More shy than Bigfoot
As it turned to hide in its seigaiha kimono
But still waved at them nonetheless
The Mapinguari nodded his head
As he let many macaws, toucans, and parrots sit on his back
Until he saw a crow try to come by
He scared it away using his terrifying roar and awful stench
The Yeren was not with the family today
He mostly only wants to come with them at night
But the Orang Pendek was there
Being only on the ground
He almost trips and falls
From the Boggy Creek Monster, who aggressively chuckled
He got angry, picked up a rock, and threw it
Right in the Boggy Creek Monster’s face
The Orang Pendek panicked when Boggy looked back
With his intense stare
He instantly went back to his territory
Feeling good about how he wouldn’t get attacked
They waved to the Chupacabras
Who were sucking blood out of a goat
Like how you would suck a straw for a drink
Quite a tasty one
They waved to the Lizard Man
Chilling in the swamps
Being messy and filthy
Yet still cool
They waved to the Jersey Devil
Flying up high and quickly
Screaming a high-pitched, blood-curdling scream
They both don’t know if she’s like that from being a monster or a New Jersey one
They walked around the lake
They waved to the Kraken and the Loch Ness Monster
The Loch Ness Monster popped its head out of the water
Got one of its fins up to greet them
And at the same time
The Kraken came out of the water
Got out all of its tentacles to greet them, too
Then the Krakens and the Loch Ness Monster’s kids came jumping out of the water
All greeting them as well
Two of them look like Nessie, having two of the Kraken’s big tentacles
On their sides
And their backs have many small tentacles
Two of them look like the Kraken with their heads
But have a lot of Nessie’s fins and body
Instead of tentacles
The family got back under the water, going back home
The Mothman’s son decided to stop walking with his dad
He decided instead to fly around the woods
He did so very quickly
He asked his dad a question
“Dad, what happened to “humans?”
His dad laughed
“Oh, son, humans aren’t real
They’re make-believe, so there’s nothing to be scared of”
“I’m not scared of humans, Dad"
I find them quite interesting
Maybe I could be friends with one, someday”
His dad laughed again
“Oh, Daniel, I love you
Your open-mindedness, your heart
Your smarts and so on
But humans are made up, Daniel
They were made up to trick people
Into believing such frivolous things do exist
So they could be famous, get attention
It’s honestly sick
I mean, now, son
That’s like trying to say Mothmen aren’t real
Even though they are
Isn’t it silly to say that something exists, even though it doesn't exist?”
The Mothmen stared at each other
As the forest was starting to burn all around them
With everyone in the park from the Bigfeet to the Chupacabras
Running out of there very quickly
“Why do y’all think we were here?
That we wouldn’t want to bring any destruction?”
“Wait, Dad, is this another work thing”
“Yes, sorry, Daniel, but my job of bringing such chaos just pays too well”
The Mothman’s son flew back down
Lowered his head and had red eyes
Looking disappointed
“Hey, do you wanna go back home and eat dog and rabbit stew?
Your favorite!”
The son looked up at his dad
And excitedly got back up in the air
“Yeah, alright! Race you home, Dad!”
The son flies back to his home
The Mothman was also flying, chasing him down
Both were flying VERY quickly back to their home
They were also laughing the whole way
