Death Of A Friend Pt. 4
⚠️Tw: suicide, murder, cussing, bullying, and related topics mentioned!! ⚠️)
(Reminder: this is purely fictional and any events relating to real life is purely a coincidence)
I dragged him behind me. He was barely conscious, making him easy to drag along the leaf-covered ground. The other one was already at the destination, tied tight to a tree. A crow flew overhead.
“Look!” I shouted smiling widely. “A crow! Death must be on his way!” I looked down at Rolland. I saw him shake his head slightly, too weak to do anything against me. My smile widened.
At the tree, Elias was already waiting, pulling against his restraints. I stepped over the lone of leaves that surrounded the tree, pulling Rolland with me. Elias looked up in horror when he saw me with Rolland behind me.
“W-what are you doing?” He asked shakily. “Oh, just doing what you helped do to Cedar. Nothing much. Just helping the crow with what he said was on the way.” His eyes widened, showing something special. Fear. I yanked Rolland up, tying him to the tree next to Elias.
“You-you can’t do that! It’s illegal!” I let out a laugh. “And yet you still did it to my friend.” Silence followed. They didn’t have a response. _He_ didn’t have a response. The smile remained on my face as a pulled out a match.
“Wha-what’s that for?” Elias asked, wide-eyed with fear and curiosity. “Something fun!” I responded playfully but chilling as well. I walked outwards to the line of leaves leading to the boys. Rolland was starting to gain more consciousness then before. **Perfect**. It was all going perfectly. i lit the match and dropped it on the dead leaves. The wind burnt it out before it touched, just as planned. Elias and Rolland both looked relieved until I pulled out another match and lit it. Once I dropped it, it burnt out, the boys’ facial expressions doing the same changes. Then I pulled out a third.
“Like they say, third times a charm.” I dropped the match and the leaves lit fire, running towards the restrained boys. They looked in horror whilst I just walked away. I heard them scream but there was no one around to hear them. No one at all.
