POEM STARTER
Confession.
Write a poem, with a set structure, which centres around the theme of confession.
What I Wish I Would Have Told You.
I woke up today with the confidence of a god.
Today will be the day I share how I feel for you.
I long for your comfort and genuine smile.
Your looks are beyond beautiful to me.
An amazing personality to match.
You really are my perfect man.
I see you walk through the hallway, with a nappy head.
I see you stretch and yawn, knowing you are the one that I want.
I awkwardly approach you with bright eyes.
Asking for a chance for you to be my guy.
I shoot up from my bed.
Realizing this was all in my head.
I miss seeing your pure face, hearing you laugh, and listen to the way that you say my name.
Wanting you is what I wish I would have confessed.
My fear of intimacy made me lonesome again.
And now I am sitting here wishing I had a comforting friend.
