Is all I’ve ever

Had.

No studying,

No shown struggle,

No asking for help.

If we’re to study

I would probably

Get an 100,

But I only put in

The effort for

A 98.

Only an A.

I will always

Be the kid who

Could be perfect.

How did I not

Realize,

“Gifted”

Isn’t a compliment.

It just told me

I didn’t know to study

Because I should know

The material without

Struggling.

Such thoughts lead

To knowing I’m not advanced

Nor intelligence,

I just have a good memory.

“Gifted” is a lie,

I just hide the struggle.
