A dark, silent figure

A living shadow

I cower and shiver

His eyes, cold and hollow

His face is bitter

His mouth a deep frown

He stares at me coldly

Scanning me up and down

His finger on the trigger

Ready to shoot

His lips start to quiver

As something takes root

His face, it crumples

He steps even nearer

He falters, he stumbles

As I stare in the mirror
