The rebellion of the Infected verses the Scared Ones started way too quickly. It was always attacks at night and the “Infected” included any uninfected willing to protect the others. Camp grounds of infected and protective friends or family went up in flames night after night. Eventually, some found abandoned basements to hide in, that kept them much safer. They found some level of peace but the children still couldn’t sleep at night. The nights were longer than anything because no one knew what advances would be made overnight. Huddles of families because infected people had willpower. There were still animals, mutated ones but animals that the infected could eat without cause for fear.
