FAE X-ING
I really love college now the issue is with so much of campus being forested area, many of the students are prone to walk into fae traps. It’s much less likely to see them in the open. My partner and I were walking along the lake one day, a day too cold to really be walking but I insisted on driving him back to his apartment and we had to walk to get to the car either way. The light layer of snow along with the flurries were perfect for the season. They call it third winter up there but it’s something easy enough to get used to. The one thing that’s more difficult to get used to is looking at the ground, especially in the snow to keep an eye out for fae crossing. Thank goodness they noticed the not so large residents of upstate. Holding my hand is just about the best way to get me to pay attention. They gave it a squeeze and I finally stopped to look at where I was going. I smiled down at the neon jackets that they’ve learned to use from us. They looked up at us and after waiting a few minutes they looked at the walkway then back up at us, nodding for us to go. Sometimes it’s the little things that matter most, literally and physically like that little squeeze just because he knew I’d be blind to it.
