WRITING OBSTACLE

Submitted by chiyo | チヨ |

Record a scientists’ notes on a certain thing, place, or person.

What kind of style would best represent this, and how can you tell a story through note form?

#Case 126 [part 1]

(Hemlock water drop-wort plant: a plant if consumed in poison gas or powder kills the victim with a gigantic, unearthly smile on their faces.)

Update. 20th, July, 1934. Scientist: Darcie Lane.:- The science lab is a mess. Scientists were arguing about who will get inside of case #126’s cage [also known as “labubu”]. We have tried and failed miserably to breed a male species rabbit and a female species cat.

Doctor Antonio Walsh failed to identify any sickness, disease, or insignificance that will danger our project. Turns out the cat was possessed by a demon. Did I mention the rabbit had rabies?

I have no clue how it worked out but… the offspring has already been born. Case #126 is out of its cage. I’m hiding in the locker rooms right now. I hear screaming and sirens. I guess nurse Julie Lakers’ dream of closing down our science lab is coming true.

Update. 6, September, 1935. Nurse: Julie Lakers.:- I have found Darcie Lane’s last note. I had to go get it cleared since it was smeared with dried up essence of blood.

I have filed a lawsuit and now the science lab is gone. Gone with case #126. No one shall dig it up. It’s big smile, [probably induced after eating our indangered stock of Hemlock water drop-wort plant powder.], and fluffy pristene fur doesn’t hide its sharp claws and sharp teeth. It’s eyes hold bad intentions.

Update. 14, July, 2029. University Student: Candice Smith.:- The professor is ranting while I fidget with my new labubu. I have all the editions. But I got the new one that was just released. I paid an especially large amount of money to get it.

I’m still happy though. It’s fur looks more real. Almost like a cat’s. The teeth are sharp, a bit dull, but still very sharp. The ear look so real! This one’s box said “original from 1934” which is super cool!

It also says at the bottom “#case 126”

I have no idea why they have to write the number of the box or case the labubu comes in…

I’m giving it to my friend after school. I bet she’s super jealous!

Update. 17, July, 2029. University Student: Candice Smith.:- My friend Zoey is gone. Her house burned down the night of the day I gave her my labubu.

My labubu was unharmed…so I took it back…it looks…

Unscathed.

How?
