I hid everything from them,I made a promise..not to make this mistake..but I am the mistake all my life I have been. I hid everything from them..all these secrets keep me in chains that no one can set me free from. But there is one who can…but this ment betraying everything I was taught and knew. But that was the one who understood me,we understood each other…it feels right to let in the person who I was born to hate in…but understanding my dark side flipped the scrip.

But then almost fell apart…betrayal, from the only one who understood me.. but all was done to let me free….

Free

Sacrificed…to let me free….

But that pure soul shall remain with me

Forever

Free…

Who understood me when no one could…

I really like how this captures how complicated having a relationship can be with a specific person. Feelings work in such wondrous ways, sometimes you hate them, sometimes you love them. Sometimes they upset you, but sometimes they’re also the ones who lift you up.

They’re another person with their own idea of freedom, and sometimes it clashes with yours and that’s okay. Sometimes they understand, and sometimes you have to let them go. Vice versa.

But at the very least, you both care.

That’s what your story spoke to me.

You really brought out the complexity of feelings and relationship here. It was beautifully done.

I like the opening and ending to this piece. The first few lines do a solid job at reeling me in, and the ending is really intriguing with the repetition of “Free…” and the short sentence structure.

I did have some difficulty following the story. I know what it’s about thematically, but I’m not really sure what the specific events and plot beats are beyond that. I thought that the second half of the first paragraph was where I’d get particularly stuck.

I also saw some small punctuation and spelling mistakes (“scrip”, “ment”, “sole”), but this is a minor criticism.

Aside from that, I relate to the overall emotion of this piece and find it compelling for that very reason! Good stuff!
