POEM STARTER
The Revelation
Write a poem with a structured rhyme scheme, using this as the title.
Ticking Of Time
Ticking off time as the life turns like wine
The age is known and the time runs steady
A constant race as a try to replace the lost time
No second chances this clock has no rewind
But overtime you begin to ponder
Is the ticking so bad?
Why must it be sad?
Goodness comes everyday
Yet the constant stress of the sand falling
The constant ticking of time
Do you look out into the world with fear
In hopes that maybe life will stop
Or reappear
But no the ticking goes on
A constant encore as the clock circles around
Finding yourself getting lost in the sound
One thought leads to a flurry of sound
Baby steps no longer found
As your new ones take step
A constant prep as you begin your day
Worries not quite gone never passed away
But maybe if you would let go
Let him, let God know
Then maybe it wonβt be so bad
No longer sad as you rejoice in the day
Worries as still there sure
But no longer a constant array
So Iβll pray everyday
Thank him for the day
Because time is ticking
The cake continues to rise
As the life inside you flourishes
Like a flower you bloom but with God
You are life a leaf in the wind
You bend at the gust of wind
Sure you are swayed but also calm
Led down and around getting lost in the sound
Whispers that get you through the day
A Heavenly Father whoβs there every step of the way
