She was standing across the street, at the same intersection, face turned away.

It was her hair that first caught his eye. It was the largest, fluffiest Afro he’d ever seen. There was a strong wind blowing and it caused it to flow like the waves of the ocean, rhythmic yet turbulent.

He couldn’t see her face, yet, he was smitten, by the graceful way she moved. He felt as though he was watching a dancer perform a slow modern piece set to the sound and motion of the wind.

The light turned green.

They walked in opposite directions, towards each other. As she walked by him, he caught a passing glimpse of her face, and a whiff of her fragrance.

He didn’t register any specific features of her face. Just the word stunning came to mind before his olfactory senses flooded his brain with memories that blinded his vision.
