“They’ve gone and done it,” Ralph said, staring at his tray.

“Done what?” Mildred asked. She had not looked at her tray yet.

“They’ve taken the banana pudding off the menu.”

“You don’t say!” Harold grumbled. “Fruit cocktail now.”

Mildred shook her head. “It’s one thing after another here.”

The three friends launched a mutiny among the residents.

They made signs and picketed the cafeteria. Those who could not walk used their wheelchairs.

“Now look,” the cafeteria manager said. “It’s not a simple thing, managing expenses. We had to make the change!”

“You’re just being a jerk,” Mildred taunted. “Give us our pudding!”

The cafeteria workers delivered an envelope to the manager.

“We pooled our resources,” they said. “We can pay for 6 months of banana pudding now!”

The not-so-secret rebellion had won.
