People say the loneliest days are between life and death. I think the silence quickly fills when the people you love the most are out of your life forever and you have _nothing_. Your days are blank and unproductive and you don’t know what to do with yourself. Chores add up and before you know it, you are overwhelmed with your surroundings. Those are the days I hated as it felt as if I was _waiting to die._ Until a knock came, late at night and I woke up confused. I walked downstairs and opened my door and there, stood right in front of me was a monster. Not the scary type, a lost lonely person like me who looked hopeless. I couldn’t believe my eyes. _“G-Grim reaper? _What are you doing here?” They looked so calm and replied “A little bird told me that you needed company!” I never knew the Grim reaper had _humour._ He was just like a human - but _different._ Everyone thinks that it’s scary, but it’s not. “Would you like to come in? Sorry I know I look bad - I just woke up!” “I mean if you like thanks and I hope I didn’t disturb your night but you can sleep - even if I am there. It’s not what you expect ‘_me _at the door’ but you are very laid back - you should be proud!” I smiled and ushered them in. “What room would you like?” “As long as it’s a comfy home, I’m grateful.” It’s so weird how _I_ became friends with a ‘_monster’_. I showed them my messy bedroom and apologised for the state of it “I’ve been so lazy recently I’m so sorry” “It’s fine don’t worry! I mean I don’t even have a house!” they stated with a small chuckle but I could tell it hurt. “I live in graveyards - weird right?” “Oh! Mysterious I must say! I hope I guide you to freedom and joy.” “Thank you! You sweet creature.” They suddenly laugh and I gaze with my head tilted slightly. “Sorry it’s a song from an artist I _LOVE_.” “What artist is it?” “Harry styles of course!” How does the Grim reaper know about my celebrity crush! “That is crazy - I like him too!” and I suddenly bonded with the person I never thought I would. I became friends with someone - we have company!
