POEM STARTER
Poison.
Write a descriptive poem about something poisonous, and its effect on its target. This could be literal or metaphorical.
Poison Ivy
Your in my sight o poisonous one
Your leaves lure me towards you
You know discreetly what will happen when I touch you
But yet I know
since I learned
what would happen to me too
The rash you’d give to me would be a poison
A short yet powerful one
Something that would be troublesome for me in the short term hopefully not in the long term like for example how a mosquito bites
The beautiful name of you ivy makes me forget what you actually are
A little bit of you and then suddenly you could strangle me will all of your might
Your so individually alone and found so mysteriously
And your name is so bluntly known
Why do I want to touch you so badly
And see what happens to me later on
It may be a childhood dream
A strange one in fact
To give an excuse to the teacher
That I can’t come to class because I have a doctors note for receiving a poison ivy rash
