POEM STARTER

Confession.

Write a poem, with a set structure, which centres around the theme of confession.

My Dearest Confession

Sitting down on my old creaking porch,

With nothing but a light buzz and small glowing torch,

Guiding me through the star maze late at night,

Children creating moonbeam shadows with their kites,

Now that the heat of the summer air has lessened,

I must reveal my hopeful confession,

This life, this is what I have dreamt everyday,

Hoping I would have a warm bed where I lay,

Sharing this fantasy life with my soulmate,

And create beautiful children before it’s too late,

And now that my dream has come true,

I bless on all the shining stars that yours will too.
