STORY STARTER
“When the storm comes, my compass always points to...”
Finish the protagonist's sentence, and use it to inspire the plot.
My Compass - My People
This is inspired off of the prompt - but it’s not the prompt.
When the storm comes, my compass always points to them. My closest friends, my closest teachers. I turn to them for comfort, for shelter. For relatability & to cope.
When all goes south, they are my north. They are home & they hold my hope. They are the stars to my universe; if I am a sunflower, they are my suns. They are my chosen family; I was born into a family that 90% of the time could not care less abt me, except for my dad. That’s what they show (my family). But my chosen family - I need them & they need me to survive. I cannot make it through life w/out them. How did I survive before them? I’m here bc music has saved me… on more than one occasion.
It’s why music is my life, my second (first) true home, my passion. I will _never_ get rid of music. I lose music? You lose me.
I’m not naming anyone, but I will give you initials of a slew of people in my life currently keeping me afloat - in no specific order (if there are repeats, it’s not a mistake, they’re separate people):
