She stands in front of me, arms out wide

She always knows when I need her by my side

I fall into her embrace, and I say Every hope, dream, fear and wish

She tells me I will be okay.

You’ve got this. You are strong. You are a fighter. I’m so proud of you. I love you.

I hug her tight, kiss her cheek.

I thank her for everything that she’s given me.

And then I wake up. I look around, and she’s not there.

But I don’t feel sad. I feel calm, warm.
