Does the moon ever feel lonely up in the sky?

I guess so, but it catches so many wandering eyes.

On nights where it’s clouded, when rain draws near,

The moon sits above, waiting, hoping it clears.

So do you feel lonely down on the Earth,

Waiting for someone’s eyes to stop their search?

When the thunder strikes, and rain pours, do you feel alone?

Or does the loneliness feel like home?

So many questions we’ve yet to have answered,

But the truth comes eventually, silently, faster.

But when the rain pours and there’s no moon in sight,

You must remember to look for a light.
