The Knife
He could see the knife gleaming at him with a smile
It was tempting to grab it like a life line
He hated this as much as he hated this world
His vision blurred from sobs he endured
He wanted to rib out his organs and take the blame
For he thought it would help him deal the pain.
He held the shiny kitchen knife with desperation
Feeling the sting of metal and thoughts
Blood dropped as he forgot about them all
The words they threw that bit him like a snake
The venom to much to take.
He was only a little boy.
Letting his insecuties chew and toy
He wanted to twist the blade through his rotton heart
For he wanted to grow wings just to tear apart.
