The wind, trees and blades of grass mingle,

Nothing in nature stands alone, single,

Yet clouds share umbrellas for the storm,

When I remember I’m lonely without you.

Drips of dew, like honey, cascade down,

Teary eyes, too, drip on longing-clad frowns,

Do you feel the forest fire from strikes,

When you remember you are without me?

Everything is together except us,

Hours apart, but I wish I could just

Feel how mother natures makes her world feel;

Just you and I, touching love, and for real.

And then the flowers grow and then bloom,

Attracting butterflies, bees, and my gloom,

But those flowers wither, close up, and hide

When I realize I’m lonely in every sense.
