STORY STARTER
Submitted by Taylor Amerson
A lone, aged man wanders across the wild land searching for something.
What does he seek?
My favorite
Wild eyes, long hair, sardonic smiles,
while he was looking down at me,
βStay far away, for you can see
that I am older than all times!β.
I asked him what heβs searching for,
and he just laughed and turned away,
βArenβt we curious today?
Searching for what I searched before!β
Deserted land his steps shall cross,
skin brazed by wind and stormy skies,
βWell, little one, this means goodbyes
Must go my way. No tears, no loss!β
I must have totally lost my mind,
for I commanded him to stayβ¦
βLeave me alone to go my way!
Iβll tell you what I need to find!β
βAn unicorn unseen to human eyes!
A breath of youth, a strange surprise!
A world of beauty, all the smiles
That I forgot how to expressβ¦
A true love and nothing of less!
The portrait of me -yesterday-
Now let me go, what do you say?β
I hugged him tight,
I closed the book,
my favorite novel and my favorite guy
and, right before saying goodbye,
βI love you too, Dorian Gray!β
