And than he changed

He came back smelling like beer

He yelled and screamed

I was always scared but to scared to leave

Belittled me until I was nothing

No one else saw him for what he was

And than one day he left

I felt lighter

Happy

As time went on I moved on from my past

I forgot about the man I knew

Until one day

There was a knock

I opened the door

And there he was

He said sorry

That he was wrong

Wanted a second chance

And shut the door
