The Thin Veneer
A little shy, but always smiling,
A little lost, but always brave,
I laugh, I kiss, I hug.
A little scared, but always curious,
A little hurt, but always good,
I love, I give, I dance.
Little Miss Lonely, always extra!
Ambivalent, Little Miss Vile,
I spit, I scratch, I bite
under the thin veneer.
