WRITING OBSTACLE

Write a 100-word story that has no repetition of words.

Even small words like 'a' or 'the' should not be repeated, so think carefully about your sentences!

What The Wind Says

I watched you.

Allowing moments pass.

Sitting alone underneath the sycamore tree. Swaying along with each leaf.

Eyes closed, entranced;

Possibly crying.

Something clutched tightly between your hands and chest.

Maybe some crumpled up paper,

That has tear stained streaks.

Old memories tormenting,

Surfaced within this mind,

Hitting rewind.

Erasing time.

Of yesterday, today, tomorrow.

Buried deep inside.

Joyful hours turned sour,

Swimming towards regret.

Left asking “Come what may?”

Please just stay.

Pleading to go back.

Where once easy;

Became difficult.

For me as well.

Remembering hurtful words.

Forgotten melodies.

Take my hand.

Trust we’ll find a better place.
