Is neurodivergent a cool word?

Not many understand its meaning.

I wish I was the latter, a free-flying bird,

Instead I’m dying, tears streaming.

Eardrums burst with vibration of love,

Withdrawal, addiction, music of every kind.

Ashamed to want to be rid of,

The blinding truths inside my mind.

Retard, spastic, and useless freak,

How many more should I endure?

My future feels so bleak,

Stuck in a spiral of autism core.

Begging for help in a foreign land,

My kind arrived after hope was lost.

What condition for me has been planned?

Eyes are glossed, final word bitch bossed.

Should I be ashamed to feel this way?

They say it’s our superpower.

Autism can kill at the right moment,

Planting our graves with an ashen flower.

So is neurodivergent a cool word?

Yes and it has a nice flow.

Will we ever feel understood?

No.
