POEM STARTER
Poison.
Write a descriptive poem about something poisonous, and its effect on its target. This could be literal or metaphorical.
Doubt
Seeps from a flower
Like a tower a continuous climb
Deep in thought as I begin to doubt how I use my time
As the doubt gets deeper I begin to question if Iβm doing what I need to do
Expressing my doubts as I sink deeper into
Doubt starts like a second thought slowly as it spreads
But the doubt trickles down and feeds into my head
Doubt caused a drought in my mind
Made me question if this was a waste of my time
I almost started to believe it
In my mind I couldnβt leave it
Would you believe me if I told you that doubt doesnβt need to be you
Sure doubt spreads in your head and the doubt takes you out
Like a poison it spreads makes you feel like your supposed to be doing something
But what
Maybe you should just breathe
Let it out
You donβt have to scream or shout just breathe
And feel relief as you let the doubt wash away
So in times of doubt I drop to my knees and pray
Lord take this doubt away
My Faith in you forever
And yes itβs hard to live by that everyday
But I know he is not far away
So the doubt trickles down
And it trickles out
