A crow, high in the sky

Who’s going to die?

Today, of all days,

When the sun is shining & bright

A giant light; is it a sign?

A sign that it’s time?

Maybe I’m overthinking this

But I have an uneasy feeling

I don’t think today’s going to end well

For anyone…

I can’t ignore a gut feeling

So many times it’s been right

But no one will believe me

Try as I might

Who’s going to believe a little girl?

_She was so young when she died_

I’m just a ghost

To most

I don’t belong here

& yet, here I am

Stuck between worlds

The door is open to the other world

But I can’t seem to get any more than half my body through that opening

There’s always something that won’t fit

& so I stay trapped on this side

The living world

Until I can figure out

Who’s dying today

As this day plays over & over & over again

Maybe this is what they mean when they say

The ghost is stuck here for a reason. Something’s tethering it to the living world

&

_I hope they can rest now_
