أتساءل،

هل الطفل البريء في غزة يعرف أن للحياة طعمًا آخر؟

غير الحرب، والتشرّد، والجوع، والفقر، والخوف؟

هل يدرك أن هناك أمنًا وأمانًا؟ صحةً وسلامة؟

أم أنه يرى العالم بين جدران التشتّت،

وحفر الركام، وظلم الجبابرة،

محصورًا في ضيق الحياة،

وقد اعتاد الفقد والمصائب.

هل في قلبه بصيص أمل؟

أم أن اليأس قد سكنه من شدّة الألم والمعاناة؟

كلّ يوم يطلع عليه بمصيبة أشدّ من سابقه.
