It was something we took for granted.

But now the world is slanted

For we have so many plans

With ear buds in they say “Don’t talk to me.”

Business and hurry are ripping time away

Sometimes I forget how easy it was to say

“Hello” to a stranger...

An image, movement, motion.

My entire experience of existence will be determined.

Will it be a haze of distortion?

Will it hold clarity abounding?

That must rely on my choices and discretion.

If I decide to embody holiness and wholeness

Or embrace spiritual poverty and shattered

A brisk walk at dusk sounded peaceful and enriching.

I saw the most glorious rose bush along the trail.

I peeked around it and saw that it went for miles.

I followed it into the woods until I stumbled upon The Graveyard.
