Monsters

rosebud

1 min read

Rest your eyes,

Lay down your head,

I’ll fight the monsters under your bed,

A savoury surprise-that’s to be expected,

A reclamation of fear is what’s projected,

I’ll guard your dreams,

With my life,

When nightmares come,

Once again I’ll fight,

And Monsters take,

All shapes and sizes,

They fill the world with some surprises,

But when you meet,

A monster in the day,

I’ll be there to fight and stay....

The Astronomical Invention of Demolition

rosebud

1 min read

The astronomical invention of demolition,

Saved my life.

I was to young to conceptualize,

That people lie,

And people fight.

Not everything turns out alright,

The picture perfect forever you were promised turns blight.

Life’s greatest sacrifice,

Might be your sleep at night,

But “you can’t give up without a fight”.

Sometimes it takes catastrophe for a realization to break free,

A simple moment...

The Wind Understands

rosebud

1 min read

The hair on my neck tingles as it blows by,

It pushes every cloud above me in the sky,

Maybe it finally understands why I want to die,

Why I cry.

The wind in the air is the only comforting presence,

The sweeping motion will not repent,

For my sins are much to great to descend,

It understands.

It understands why I climb,

Why I wish to die,

Why sometimes I must lie,

In order to pass by,

Again I cry....

Deprivation

rosebud

1 min read

Those deprived of Daddy’s love feel a need to please others,

People pleasers they become,

Fronting up false covers.

Those deprived of Mommy’s love develop disease in their mind,

The psychotic nature of their arrest,

Crescendos over time....

Cornfield [Scene 1]

SCENE 1: Opening Credits

EXT. THE MIDDLE OF A CORNFIELD IN NEW YORK STATE NORTHEAST OF NEW YORK CITY

[We hear “The Wrong Generation” by Phillip Boa And The Voodooclub, play as we zoom in on the cornfield from an aerial shot. The zoom in is slow, almost painfully slow, but it must be this way to allow the opening credits to fade in and out on the screen. There is a red tractor driving...

House

rosebud

1 min read

If I could build a house,

I’d build a house for two,

One side of the bed for me,

One side of the bed for you,

We’d live in the house together,

Through which love would grow,

All we’d need is each other,

Through wind, sleet, rain or snow,

Here we’d become grounded,

Laying down foundations,

Write love poems together,

With thousands of alliterations,

I’d watch the sun set,

I’d wait for it to rise,

E...

The Rise and Fall of Fantasy

rosebud

2 min read

-off topic-

We only truly discovered unicorns about a century ago now. Some doctor of biology over in Sweden went on an expedition deep into the mountains and forests of Sarektjåkkå. He found groups of them, small packs almost like wolves. The longer he stayed the more he saw but that didn’t make them less rare. In total he found three corporates (the term for a pack of unicorns), however with les...

Philosophy

He was not beautiful, he was poetic; he spoke of philosophy and melodies as if it were his religion, his purpose, and it was the most attractive thing about him....
