Eyes

•Karman•

1 min read

No animals on the carpetless floor

No warmth in these tight walls

Bright light is scarce

However there is one thing

No body

No face

Just eyes

Many

Protruding out of these uncluttered walls...

The Rumor

•Karman•

1 min read

We were happy

We had eachother

You were funny and kind

I was supporting and brave

We were happy

I was happy

Out of the blue

You had ended it

I thought you were a jerk

You ghosted me

A year has passed

I had just found out why you did this

A stupid rumor

I thought that we meant more

Than other’s words

But apparently I was wrong

I was right to think that you were a jerk

The rumor was

That I was

54 Card Pickup

•Karman•

1 min read

I’m tired of playing these games

Right when I am done

Cleaning up your messes

You insist on playing again

Right when I am settled and clean

You throw around my cards

Onto the grass

They blow in the wind

Fly away

They will never be the same

Some cards have grass stains

Others covered in mud

I will never find them all

Each time, the deck fades

And warps

But,

Right when I give you the cards

Out of ...

My First Scooter

•Karman•

1 min read

My first time riding a scooter

After half an hour

I had gotten used to it

Until

I decided to go down my grandparents’

Gravel driveway

No one was around

I was 6

So I pushed myself

Down this steep

Uneven hill

I was on my pink

Princess scooter

With metallic tassels

And a picture of

Cinderella, Ariel, and Tiana

Below my feet

I made it not even halfway down

My front wheel got stuck on a rock

I tipped f...

Big Cat, Big Teeth

•Karman•

1 min read

People love me from a distance

I “stand out” they say

My bright, patterned fur attracts people

But when they get close,

They see my teeth and claws

Then run away

I try to catch up with them

But they run faster

I let them

I’m worried I might hurt them

A big cat with big teeth

Not much I can do to prevent

Hurting people...

Gentle Blaze

•Karman•

1 min read

I can’t help but stare into it

Why does it flicker this way?

It looks so gentle

Yet can destroy everything it touches

It is so intricate

Yet so plain

It is warm and comforting

But stings when I get too close

How can something be so beautiful

Yet so contradicting...

Wandering Soul

•Karman•

1 min read

The horror of your hollow eyes

I cannot help but stare into them

At one point

You were once human

I know it

Your face is slim

And your mouth agape

In a white wedding dress

This was supposed to be your special day

Who did this to you?

Was this our choice?

You stare into my eyes

With shame

But you don’t need to feel that way

You are a wandering soul

Empty

But full of shame

You had so much to do

You...

Sleep Woman

•Karman•

1 min read

I see you

Over and over

When I close my eyes

And drift to sleep

It’s always you

One way or another

You are there

I have no clue who you are

But I know your face

Better than you do...

Did I Cross The Line?

•Karman•

1 min read

She made my life a living hell

So I returned the favor

Although I got my revenge

Still

Deep down

I hate her

I tore her down into little parts

Like she had done to me

We are the lovers with parting hearts

Violent and vengeful

With feelings that flee

Digging through the scraps of her

Who is now a hollow shell

I’ve always seen the worst of her

Now her life is hell

I feel empowered

I feel derang...
