He knocked on my door politely when he arrived. Ii opened it nervously; not sure what to expect. As soon as I saw his smile and youthfully bright eyes, I knew I made the right decision inviting him in. He spent hours listening to me attentively as I told stories you shouldn’t tell on a first date. Surprisingly, when I said goodbye to him the next morning, he agreed to see me again....

Identify me, please.

I want to know who I am.

I’ve thought I’ve known a thousand times;

Every face I’ve shown a sham.


16 years and full of life, yet I felt half empty.

Moving on to 21; those i once knew now resent me.

Three years later 24, space in my heart is small.

I thought I saw my reflection, but it wasn’t me at all.


I hear myself in music, read myself in books

I see myself in characte...

Red and burning, green and fucking glowing

As I looked into your eyes, I saw my future go up in flames


You were soaked in gasoline and I held the match.

Perhaps I thought you had just come inside from the rain.


I only wanted to warm you, but instead you caught fire.


I sit covered in your embers. At least you’re all over me....
