Outside

Sitting here;

High up at my window;

Watching them dash here and there,

And nowhere.

The cliche is ants;

A colony;

Dashing around,

The filthy grey town.

I join them sometimes;

And hurry along in their wake;

To be a part,

And not feel apart....

The attack was frenzied.

Stab, stab, stabbing,

Manic, agitated, frenetic;

Paying attention,

Down into the darkness of the kill.

Then gentle butchery;

A memento;

A keepsake;

A prize.

Who will mourn their demise?...

Security

Watching people every day;

Rushing, dashing every way;

Chatting, working, organised,

All ignore my prying eyes.

I watch them walking through the halls;

Using phones and taking calls;

Typing on their desk PC,

All oblivious to me.

People entering and leaving;

Continually Interweaving;

With smokers gathered in all weathers,

Huddled silently together.

The only place that I can’t see;

Is there, insi...

Vampires drink your blood;

And ghosts they walk through walls.

The changeling steals your children,

And the ogre eats them all.

The full moon changes werewolves;

The kraken rules the sea.

While zombies eat your brains out,

Hear the cry of the banshee...

Conversation With God

First we talked about truth,

Then we talked about lies,

We talked about the meaning of life,

Then we said our goodbyes....

Life?

Stephen Munslow

1 min read

It is best to remember,

That as we mature,

The less of your bullshit,

We plan to endure.

A lifetime in jail,

Becomes less of a threat,

I could stab you to death,

With an old bayonet.

In the end, we only regret the chances we didn’t take....

I went to the beach,

Then I had a big breakfast.

What shall I do now?...

There is no grass to feed the cows,

No milk to feed the folks,

There are no trees to shelter me,

No majestic, leafy oaks....

Devastation

Ravishing. Chaos. Astonished.

Lavishing. Order. Admonished.

Beautiful. Mayhem. Astounded

Grovelling. Leaping. Unbounded.

Glorious. Ordered. Defining.

Notorious. Havoc. Combining.

Squandering. Blessing. Outshining.

Infamous. Shambles. Entwining....

Yellow (chueh-chu)

Why is there conflict between you and me,

Why does the woodpecker peck at a tree?

There is one thing that we both can agree,

You are imprisoned, and I am still free.

It’s hard to believe you are so distraught,

You emptied your gun without any thought,

I ran away while you faced the onslaught,

I might be a coward, but you got caught...
