Reverie And Rain

Donny

1 min read

Reverie and rain

I see the thoughts that aren’t there

I feel, i see, i touch

But I’m alone, and i feel bare

Incarcerate my empty soul

Keep the noose tied in a knot

Let me hug you, kiss, and feel

Let me see what you’ve forgot

Reverie and rain

I feel your absence, by the way

Your there! But now you’re gone?

I wish id kept things all the same

I wish id thought of it much longer

I wish id thought o...

Can’t See A Mirror On A Main Road

Donny

1 min read

Can’t see a mirror on the main road

I just see the reflection of the paint

Feel the fire of the heavy load

Feel the burn from being late

I see my reflection in the water

But cannot see the stream pass

I see the faces of my daughter

In the future and the past

To see a love I’ve never met before

And a girl I cannot ignore

To see a mirror on the floor

To be always wanting more

Can’t see a mirror ...

To See A World Within The Stars

Donny

1 min read

To see the world which left me down

To see a world within the stars

To see the grass green on the ground

To see not a single car

I can’t imagine what life would impose on a imbecile

What it would be without an axis to bend

I can’t find the mitochondria of the cell

Can’t find the answers of the end

To see a world within the stars

Where the world screams pink and a bright light

To find the next ch...

Sharp But Subtle

Donny

1 min read

Sharp but subtle words

Placed beneath the cherry tree

I see the branch, escapes a bird!

Among the cherry tree

Above the playground watching few

Can’t count the sharp but subtle words

I see a fall, a slip, it flew!

And there out comes the birds

In the playground, in the dark

Still, the streetlights aren’t on

In the shadows at the park

This place in Oregon...

To Who has Seen That Friend Of Mine

Donny

1 min read

To thy who’s seen that friend of mine,

Oh gosh its you i see

I’ve founded things that are benign

But you, its still to be

To who has seen that friend of mine

I could crawl from this despair

It’s been a hundred years to find

That the world has not been fair

To the one who calls my name asleep

i hope its still you I know

I hear the whispers in the deep

And I know your face has failed to grow

Grasp Onto The Near

Donny

1 min read

I held the hand tightly

Grasping to clear sight and what is near

Not seeing and not feeling

Not letting go of all this fear

I yearn to see the light of day

Learning this light was not my sun

I wasn’t ever letting go

Not seeing that it’s done

I held the hand so tightly

To feel sorrow in the sight

See it clearly, more than ever

To water down my fight

I wasn’t ever letting go

Just put some sense i...
