WRITING OBSTACLE
Submitted by Frankie Famighetti
Create a conversation that takes place within a human body.
It can be between cells, organs, or anything real or imagined within the body.
whispering body
🫀 Heart (softly):
"I'm tired of breaking in silence. I beat for love, but lately... I just echo the ache."
🧠 Brain (with a tremble):
"I try to carry the weight. The thoughts, the doubts, the memories that don’t stop knocking. I am so full... and still feel hollow."
🌬️ Lungs:
"Sometimes I breathe in sadness so thick it sticks to my walls. I exhale hope, but it escapes like smoke."
👁 Eyes:
"I've seen too much pretending. The smiles drawn on pain. The nights spent open when they should have been closed."
🧬 Cell (tiny, ancient):
"We were born to heal. To divide, to rebuild. But the body does not just break from the outside, you know."
🩸 Blood (whispering through veins):
"I carry everything — joy, grief, dreams. I pass them all along. Some days I flow like music. Others, like mourning."
🦴 Bones:
"I hold them up. But even I bend under loneliness. The weight isn’t always physical."
🫂 Skin:
"I remember every touch. And every absence. I keep it all."
🧠 Brain (quiet now):
"Is this what it means to be alive? To hold pain and still move forward?"
🫀 Heart:
"Yes. And still, I beat."
