POEM STARTER
Not all those who wander are lost.'
Compose a poem inspired by this popular phrase.
Forests of The Mind
You may see the tall evergreens above you and the cloudy sky along with the snow-feathered mountains behind the trees
You may feel your feet's steps into the soft earthy soil and the chilly air
You may hear owls hooting and cooing and the soft flap of their feathered wings
You may taste fresh air on your tongue and humidity
You may smell the sharp, crisp scent of pine and fir needles, the rich and earthy aroma of damp soil and moss, and the sweet, resinous fragrance of tree sap
You have wandered out of your territory
Your brain says your lost
Your heart says otherwise
Your heart says that you know where you are going as energy shoots through your body from the ground beneath you
Almost as if you have a map in your mind
The sky starts to cry but it feels empowering to you, your hair getting soaked
You aren't lost, you are where you're meant to be
