STORY STARTER

Submitted by Jewelie Rain

A fairy has to do something to gain their wings.

Write a story about what your protagonist has to do to receive theirs.

Ignore the terrible spelling.

How do you tell the difference between a spider bite, and a fairy bite?

In physical appearance they may look identical, but after youre bitten by a spider, youll be left alone. The spider will almost always feel threatened enough that theyll leave. But fairys? Its all about the week following the day youre bitten.

Day one, everything seems fine, apart from that annoying spider bite. You scratch your skin, it itches like a mosquito bite. Not enough for you to give it a second thought, but enough to slightly irritate you.

Day two, youve been scratching it non stop. Your hand is cramping from the same repetitive movements, over and over again. Your skin is burning around the bite, and if you look closely you couldve sworn its gotten bigger, the tiny dots where the fangs were are now open holes on your body.

Day three, you think youre being paranoid when you feel like theres something watching you, following you. Maybe youre sick? You have been feeling really weak and fatigued today. It cant be blood loss though, the bite may seem bigger but its not like youve been bleeding.

Day four, you feel an intense ache in your chest, like youre heart is struggling to pump blood through your body. You wonder why your insides feel like their being stabbed with tiny blades. And your skin? It itches. Not like a mosquito bite anymore, more like a wasp with a personal vendetta agaisnt you.

Day five, your entire body feels like its being encased with thick animal hide. Your skin is so itchy it doesnt even feel like your own anymore. It feels numb. Your skin feels like somebodys rubbed sandpaper against it.

Day six, your skin is peeling back, layers at a time. You should be covered in blood. Your floor, hands, and the knives from the kitchen drawer should all be coated in blood. so why arent they? You just keep itching, and it just gets worse, so you keep scratching away, through each layer their is no blood. You should have called for help, texted a friend, maybe you would have if you werent already touching bone.

Day seven, is the last day youre alive. The fairy has been following you everywhere. Theyve been watching you ever since they sunk their fangs into your flesh. A fairy needs alot of nutrients to be able to grow wings. They need nutrients only found in the blood of mammals. Humans are just easy targets. Fairys can only suck out so much blood before draining the surface levels. So they wait until youre asleep and then squeeze into your open wound they made, and they crawl around inside of you, drinking your blood from the inside. They keep themselves hidden, until day seven. Youll contiune to scracth your body as you writhe around on the floor in horrendous pain. Feeling your insides being tugged and strecthed as the fairy drains your body, slowly. Until youre nothing but a ghostly white shriveled corpse on the floor.

But hey at least the fuckass fairy can grow her wings now.
