POEM STARTER
Write a series of three haikus about different aspects of something you love.
Haikus have the syllabic form of 5, 7, 5 syllables per line. Consider how you could use multiple Haiku to create a three-dimensional portrait of your chosen thing.
Autumn
Autumn wind, laced with
Honeycrisp fruit and crimson,
Leaves nest in my hair.
Pumpkin hued fabric,
Firewood sparks fall colors,
Caramel and gold.
Cinnamon freckles
Line the turmeric sweet breeze,
A warm fall embrace.

I think this poem is great I got the autumnal feel instantly. I particularly love the last stanza For the ‘turmeric sweet breeze’!
