"Why did you kill her!?"

"Because she was hunting what you needed."

"She was also proving useful in getting into the castle again,' Vyxen sighed. at least her sidekick was trying to be useful, though not succeeding. She didn't seem to know how to strategize or lie smoothly. That needed to be changed. They would work on that eventually, they had to, otherwise Vyxen's plan for revenge would fail tremendously, and crash all around both Vyxen and Lucina.

Vyxen remembered the night she found Lucina. It was late and the moon was shining, giving some but not a lot of light. Lucina was running in her woods, alone. Vyxen had her her running through the leaves, she was loud while running, so it wasn't difficult. When Vyxen had stepped into the cold night air, that when she saw Lucina. Curious, Vyxen had walked closer to Lucina, who was now slowing down, watching behind her. She was so focused on what was behind her, she didn't even notice Vyxen was in her path, causing her to run right into Vyxen.

"Oh my gosh! I am so sorry!" Lucina had said, stepping back, looking embarrassed and worried...along with something else Vyxen couldn't quite name. "Please don't be mad! I wasn't watching where I was going! I'm so sorry!" There was a quiver in her voice. That's when Vyxen realized the "something else" was the well known fear Vyxen fed off of.

"Oh, it's fine," Vyxen said, waving a dismissive hand at Lucina. "But, would you like to tell me why you're out here all alone in the middle of the night? It seems odd for someone like you to be out here, you know, in The Haunted Woods." Lucina let out a bark of nervous laughter. "N-no reason. Just out here for a walk?" Vyxen raised an eyebrow. "You were running. I highly doubt it was for no reason." Vyxen noticed Lucina was backing up slowly, trying to get away. Vyxen grabbed her before she could succeed.

"Eep!" "Tell me what you're doing here. Now." Lucina crossed her arms defiantly at Vyxen. "You'd better tell me. I am the queen of these woods here." Lucina's jaw, along with her arms, dropped. "Y-you're the evil queen that was never queen?" Vyxen rolled her eyes. "I am queen. I am queen of these woods. I don't need a whole realm. Besides, this place is much better, along with the residents." Lucina looked confused by the word "residents" since no human who ever crossed the Haunted Woods path really lived to tell the tale of what lives within.

"Residents?" Lucina repeated curiously. "Oh yeah, there's tons. Vampires, werewolves, witches, harpies, Nagas, centaurs, spiders, dryads, goblins, ghosts, even demons, and I'm pretty sure there's way more then that. But those I haven't yet seen." Lucina's eyes widened, obviously not expecting that. "It would be a shame for you to get hurt or worse by one of them, you do seem to be quite the useful girl..." Vyxen's grip on Lucina tighter as she said this, making Lucina panic. "L-let me go!" Lucinda was now struggling to get out of Vyxen's grip. Vyxen didn't let Lucina go though, all she did was get up close in Lucina's face. "What. Are. You. Running. From? and stop struggling. It's annoying. Plus, it's obviously getting you no where." Lucina didn't stop until after she realized Vyxen's words were true- she was getting nowhere. "I was...running away from someone..." Lucina admitted quietly.

After that, Vyxen took her in. She told her everything there was to know about this strange place and what she would do with the kingdom. Lucina caught on over time, not as quickly as Vyxen would have liked, but she did nonetheless.
