you can still be alive, but dead.

Giving up all hope for change,

not wanting to continue on.

You die in your older ages,

but you really died when you were 16.

You gave up on everything,

gave up on everyone.

You feel as if you don’t fit in anywhere,

even with your family.

You don’t fit in—

you never have.

I’m living,

but I’m also deceased.

No one sees it,

doesn’t even try to.

They see what they want to see,

and not the dying me.

I’m dying slowly,
