STORY STARTER
A person realizes they have the ability to enter and control dreams.
Explore the consequences of this ability, both good and bad.
The Dream-driver of Miami
It is no more distant from here, as in the current human world, that you sometimes need to find your talent (e.g., look for it, chase it), if you were to take a successful leap, into a lasting contribution. 'Money doesn't grow on trees,' as is said. And that is just as this 20-year-old girl, Beatriz, did.
In 2030, Beatriz wakes up one day, in the--ever so hot, damp, and uncertain climate in all the sense--Miami region, only to learn that it is just 4:00am.
As she makes it through a couple minutes, 3 sips of strong coffee, she suddenly realizes she is neither actively awake, nor fully asleep; instead, she can point to her own sleepy state, while others too, as she lively but no less groggy, discovers she can recount dreams. Dreams of anything.
Recreating the scene of her best friend, Maura Lu, who is drifting in and out of Kay West eating icecream, in each sleep-wakefulness state, as she imagines her, she (a Psychology student at the University of Florida) soon combines Psychoanalysis dating back to Joung's time and Play Therapy, as she imagines in her, early morning and restless, imagination how she will control Maura Lu's location.
However, a not uncommon drawback, Beatriz realizes she may possess the imagination, but not the right to control Maura Lu's dream.
Still, as she plays around with her 'powerful' thoughts, she falls back asleep--herself--without knowing that now, in the driver seat, it's Maura Lu. And Beatriz might just wake up north in Georgia, not knowing how she landed there.
Basically, 'have fun, but do not underestimate chances. You never know when something like it may happen to you.'
