POEM STARTER
Write a poem that is grotesquely romantic.
This could mean a poem that’s overly lovey-dovey, one that has a romantic theme but grotesque imagery, or something else altogether.
Humans(Demons)
I paint the hall red
As the flickering lights turn on and off
In my hands a limp body
Silence broken only by his simple cough
Roses begin to seep out his mouth
His eyes a loud ruby garden
Skin begins to lose its luster
When compared to this worldly torment
My hands tremble
As I slowly begin to unbutton his clothes
In my hand a saw
Soon in my hand a bloody nose
A simple collection
Of body parts from my past lovers
This should be the fourth time
Where I've kept what people bury under
Screams fill my ears
Louder and soon they'll fill the hall
Music to my soul
A simple melody to a murderer's ball
