Everything seemed to slow down as the flashlight's beam searched through the foggy water. Pieces of bobbing glacial ice broached the surface, then dipped out of sight, only to reflect the beam's light again as they resurfaced. The beam wavered up and down as the owner strode to the further corner, his footsteps producing a thud as leather and metal came into contact.

Expanding, the metal groaned. Most wouldn't believe that the groaning mass of metal used to be a giant mechanical robot, operated by professionals. The man's skills in piloting this hunk of metal were incredible; it being a hunk of metal caused a slight problem. Moreover, he required a crew that was lost or even dead. The scientists at ASAR(Aerospace and Robotics) honed their skills together to create this new and improved robotic masterpiece, and even made a crew for it. But now, the only remaining part, the head, was slowly sinking with the probable last crew member alive with it. Again, he strained his red-brimmed eyes across the foggy water, trying to find just a scrap of his team's red uniform. He was a man driven by the need to claim his immediate survival; his options for achieving that aim were, however, limited.
