VISUAL PROMPT
Prompt submitted by Tenshi

Write a poem about what streetlights make you think of.
The Streetlights Of Life.
With a twitch and shutter,
Twinkling lights flicker with life,
The streets ambushed by groups of variety.
The lights pulse with excitement with the dimly lit crowd.
Unknown to the man who stands alone.
Peeling eyes scan the darkness of heads
Scoping for its salvation.
Crimson lingers to his chest,
Breathe dancing in the now flickering light.
He feels it stand behind him,
It grabs his hand ready to walk him to the gates,
Ones that shut him out,
With a gasp and a tumble,
The lights disappear.
Now in the cover of dark thread of streetlights cast shade,
Unknown to the man who once was.
