Fleeting

The days have been fleeting,

all of my time disappearing—

moment by moment deleting,

and then I start anew.

Days are filled to the brim;

my time is growing slim.

I start to ache in my limbs,

because that’s what aging will do.

I feel smarter every day,

and somehow dumber every way.

Thus is life, we all say—yay?

Until we all pass through.

It’s strange like that, life—

it happens quickly, causing strife,

but if we’re lucky, full of spice.

How’s it going for you?
