Pubs and bad decisions
She walked quickly to the front of the line, trying to cut the underaged and fake ids. The vast man infront of her stopped her path quickly by asking in a serious and annoyed tone, “Where’s your identification?” She dug in her brown leather purse for a wallet that could be holding the one thing leaving her from catching him. She quickly wiped out an id, but when the man check it he argued back. “This id is expired, ma’am. Do you have another one because we don’t have all day.” She rolled her eyes, dug again, and found nothing. “I’ve got nothing…can’t you just let me go, I don’t look under a day under 25?” She said in an aggressive tone, trying to convince him in some way, shape, or form. He quickly looked her up and down, sighed, and opened the gate behind him. She nodded and started pacing again to the man she’s catching. This might be her one and only chance she’ll ever get to find evidence to divorce him…butttt he walked out of the door with a random lady no one could identify a milli-second earlier. She saw his figure and the lady walk out quickly and muttered under her breath, “Is this really worth it?…” She quickly decided it wasn’t and walked looking down to the bars counter. The barista greeted her kindly and asked, “Bad day?…’em cocktails can fix a lot.” and poured her a sunset colored concoction. What was in this? Was it bad for her? But she remembered she just asked herself about that to the guy, and she decided to go calm. Around 30 minutes later, and two cocktails, she walked to the ugly and destroyed bathroom. It had crusty and disgusting toilets which made her question even breathing, and broken sinks that crumbled and rumbled when the water turned on. She sighed annoyingly and quickly realized there were mirrors, which she looked in one. No reason to but why not? The broken and cracked dusty mirror almost shattered infront of her, but quickly starting twirling almost. Was she too drunk? Was she started to see things? She tapped the mirror to see if today was even real, and it in fact was. She quickly decided to get out of there and call a cab, so she did. Fun fact, at 2am in Pennsylvania there isn’t cabs. She decided to just try and walk to somewhere, and slowly get closer and closer to home. Eventually, her legs ached and she made her way into an abandoned pub. The lights were off but there was a bright cyan and yellow Corona sign that had an outline of a bottle. She quickly walked to the bathroom again, and sat down on the floor. The whole room was musty and smelt like old rotten cigars, pee, and more disgusting scents. She stood up again, determined to make it back even if it took a long time. She thought for a moment before looking into the mirror, and noticing something weird again? The mirror worped around her face, and starring at it only made it worse. A couple seconds later and she was in a different world. She fell to the rock solid but green land, clutching her head to prevent injuries. The land was very green, and had a bright blue sky, and sun. The buildings were bright and colorful, not like the town she lived in. Again she tried to stand up, but failed after realizing she was in aching pain. A green and brown colored snail slowly slid its way over to the injured lady. She raised an eyebrow but ignored the weirdness of this whole situation. He spoke quickly, trying to make sure she’s okay. “Ma’am, are you there?” he spoke curiously. He had never seen such an odd figure. The girl he saw was different from all the others in the land, but for her the exact same as all in Earth. She spoke back in a very confused tone, “I’m fine.” She looked around the weird place, and how different it looked from…where was she? She isn’t at the pub, or the abandoned one. And she sure wasn’t at her molding apartment. The grass was green, and not in that way. The trees were healthy and tall, the sky was like a bob ross painting which she stayed up many long nights to watch. The children yelled, echoed, and hollared happiness. Deer jumped fences, and so did the horses. Which made her wonder when did they become friends? Grandmas crocheted and sewed, grandpas taught grandsons. The world seemed normal for once; like they were in the movies. She eventually stood up, and the weird snail greeted her again. “Hi, hello, and hola! I’m \€~’[%~^]£?*!”…What did he just say? She spoke up, “What’s your name?” and he replied back to her with a laugh and smile, “Oh silly! we aren’t supposed to say our names; neither can we for that measure.” This was going to be a longgg day.
