It’s quiet in the room. A streak of light pours into the room over the bed. The shadow of a gangly long hand works its way up the bed. It reaches to the edge of the sheets before pulling them back.

The bed is empty.

The shadowy hand quivers. It pulls back.

The lonesome teddy bear in the corner of beds eyes glint. The teddy bear starts to move. It crawls towards the shadowy hand. The shadows pulls back but the teddy reaches out a hand.

The shadow hesitates before reaching one of its long fingers towards the bear. The bear holds the shadowy finger with both its hands.

More of the shadow reveals itself from under the bed. The shadow morphs into the shape of a tall, lean man. He gently picks up the teddy and holds it tight. The teddy wraps its arms around the shadow.

The shadow shrinks itself into a ball.

The teddy points down at the floor. There’s a trail of lollies on the floor. The shadow looks at the teddy bear before scooping it up and following the trail out the door.
