POEM STARTER

Why do roses have thorns?
Write a poem that discusses this question.
It Grew Them
As popular as they are now
Roses were unknown before
Others favored bigger flowers
But then it became a symbol of love
Love is supposed to be fiery red
To represent passion they say
So millions of roses get pulled
From their homes
Momentarily appreciated
In a pretty bouquet
Then left to wilt and die
Roses were many before but the overconsumption was too much
They were dwindling down
People have a way of taking too much
Red is also used to represent strength
With its own strength thorns grew
Pricked every careless hand that dared to touch it
Roses were not only red because they were made that way
It was also because of blood spilt of the people who tried to only see it as a simple gift
